Our Commitment to Responsible Engagement
Adventure Learning prioritizes ensuring that participation in our community draws remains enjoyable and positive. We believe charitable gaming should represent a voluntary choice that aligns comfortably with your personal circumstances and financial capacity.
While contributing to BC communities through our platform holds value, your participation should never compromise your personal wellness or financial security.
Guidelines for Balanced Participation
Setting Personal Boundaries
Before participating, establish limits appropriate for your situation:
- Budget Limits: Determine an amount you're comfortable spending without affecting essential expenses
- Time Limits: Decide your participation frequency (weekly, monthly, occasional)
- Pattern Awareness: Monitor your participation habits
- Regular Reviews: Periodically reassess your limits to ensure they remain suitable
Understanding Your Motivations
Healthy participation involves:
- Viewing participation as entertainment and community support, not income generation
- Participating by choice, not obligation
- Accepting that winning represents a possibility, not a certainty
- Feeling comfortable with your chosen spending amount
Warning Signs to Watch For
Consider pausing if you notice these indicators:
- Spending beyond your initial plan or financial capacity
- Experiencing stress or anxiety about draw outcomes
- Participation disrupting work, relationships, or daily obligations
- Using funds designated for bills or necessities
- Attempting to recover previous spending through increased participation
- Concealing your participation from family or friends
- Feeling unable to reduce or stop participating
- Borrowing funds for ticket purchases
If any indicators apply, we strongly encourage reaching out to support services and considering self-exclusion options.
Self-Assessment Tools
Evaluate Your Participation Health
Answer these questions honestly:
- Do I participate only with funds I can afford to lose?
- Can I easily skip a draw without discomfort?
- Does my participation fit comfortably within my budget?
- Am I participating for appropriate reasons (community support, entertainment)?
- Have I openly discussed my participation with family or friends?
If you answered "no" to any question, it may be time to reassess your participation.
